The meaning of Christmas has so much more of a deeper meaning than waking up your parents to tear apart the presents under the Christmas tree. The true meaning of Christmas is different than the way the world has sculpted it. There was a baby born long ago named Jesus. He came here to cleanse a sinful world of its dirty deeds. Luke 2:11 “For unto you is born this day in the city of David a savior which is Christ the Lord”. The true meaning of Christmas has been buried, Jesus has been covered by Santa and worshiping has been covered by opening presents. Christmas is the celebration of the birth of God as a man who came to our filthy earth to save every soul that chose so trust in him. Give Christmas it’s true meaning back by thinking of Jesus and sharing the word with anybody you meet. Giving and getting presents isn’t a bad thing to do at Christmas but don’t obsess on them. Thank the lord and be grateful for what you get. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” Christmas is the greatest holiday of the year and remember to worship Jesus for showing his love for us. As Christians we want to celebrate the birth of Christ together and share the good news with our families. We need to be forgiving and kind through Christmas as we do all year round. Always remember we can’t be blinded by greed this Christmas season, let Christ work through you this holiday season and years to come.

Great job Xander! I agree that the true meaning of Christmas is buried by Santa and presents, we need to reveal the real meaning of Christmas to this world.

Very true. Materialism often times becomes the focal point, not just of Christmas, though it certainly does with that; but also are own lives. We hardly stop and consider what it means to be man, I mean the fact that we are mortal, we do not stop to consider it in this fast paced world, where you go to sleep wake up and have to buy the newest IPhone that just came out (Though the one you just got came out 2 months ago). We grab and grab constantly but forget the meaning behind it all, and never unwrap the beautiful gem that is our Jesus and Lord. Good post!
