Evangelist - Soloist
The Public is Invited
Story-telling and humorous ditties blend with passion in the platform style of the evangelist, whose grandparents were Oregon Trail pioneers in the Nebraska panhandle a century ago.
Spear has appeared in school assemblies, youth camps, county fairs, tent and pavilion meetings, on radio, and in prisons in Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, Kentucky and Juvenile facilities in Colorado and South Dakota.
Hourglassministries.com was the vehicle for “Rally-Concerts” by the Spear family’s Hourglass Singers, which toured widely and recorded professionally. Hourglass newsletter, “Old Timey Tent Meetings,” Ladies’ Extravaganzas, Hourglass School of Music and Hourglass Life Coaching are outgrowths of their ministry. Ten years were focused on assistance to new churches in “forgotten communities.”
Spear’s book, e-book, and audio book, Still a Kid! in its second edition (Tate Publishing Company) features homespun stories, and prison experiences, to deliver a crucial message about choices and consequences, targeting decision-makers and youth (www.stillakid.com). Other published projects include award-winning histories for historical and genealogical societies in Kentucky and Tennessee, Maranatha, the Miracle Camp (Nebraska), and coffee table style histories for Sheriffs in Denver, Nashville, Fort Worth, and St. Paul, Minnesota (Turner Publishing Company). He blogs at http://dangerstoilsandsnares.com, Facebook.com/CT Spear, and Dittydad@Twitter.com . A Name Forgotten, will be available from Heritage Builders Publishers during the last quarter of 2015.
Elected Men’s Class Speaker at Grace University, he holds a Master’s from Faith Baptist Theological Seminary, and attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha and Denver Baptist Theological Seminary. He was Director of Ministries at Western Bible College, student recruiter for Denver Baptist Bible College and a Regional Vice President of Trinity Baptist College.
